We are on the hunt for an experienced pastry chef or cake decorator who has an adaptable style, is creative and is on top of current trends to join our team! Our business is growing rapidly and so we are excited to be creating an opportunity for a talented artist to help our business flourish and continue to service our fabulous clients with deliciously beautiful pieces of edible art.
The role will involve baking, preparing cakes, making icing and decorating in our studio (next door to our retail shop). You must be able to work independently with low supervision, preferably have professional experience within the industry so that you are capable of working in a fast paced environment. You will need strong skills in ganache preparation, fondant cake covering, butter cream application and fondant iced biscuits. Skills in fondant figurine creation is highly desirable.
Efficiency in this role is crucial along with professional personal presentation and great communication skills. We require someone who is flexible in job tasks and has a love of learning to keep up with the latest techniques and trends. Attention to detail and customer service must also be important to you.
The desired applicant will be employed full time. Part time applications will be considered should the right applicant present themselves. Applicants must be available Monday-Friday.
