Sometimes you just find your people! We met Kylie of Love Little Big 3 years ago whilst preparing her daughter Emmy's 2nd Birthday at Apples & Jam. Since then we have shared many a laugh in Burnt Butter styling parties together for her two beautiful children and for Style Social (Kylie & Tara Dixon's) social media content creation business. So when Kylie let us know she was planning a little ballet party with a close group of friends and Emmy’s cousins we couldn’t wait to be involved!
I have so many fond memories of ballet and these pics (snapped by Anthea Nicoll) reminded us so much of the many years of leotards, ballet shoes and countless perfect buns without a hair out of place! If only Flo Dancewear (the label Emmy and the girls wore on the day) was around back then! Flo has the most gorgeous ballet basics, dresses and tutus for those enrolled in classes and for little ones who just love the thought of being a ballerina!
Kylie selected This Is Life Wellness in Elwood as the venue and my goodness have I been busting to head back since! A beautifully presented and versatile function space that is clean and bright with stunning feature windows, an exposed brick wall and fire place. It literally covers all bases! It sits above a bustling emporium of holistic services and wellness cafe. It is truely the most welcoming and accommodating family business run by Mikayla & Ashley. You really must stop by to visit.
Together with Kylie we assisted in styling the day to match our party ware & desserts. The amazing plinths and back drop were sourced and delivered by The Big Letter Co. TBLC have such an incredible array of quality, modern and on trend hire items sure to make your next event stand out from the crowd.
The very talented Anthea Nicoll of Red Rabbit Photography took the below pics. We hope you enjoy them as much as we loved helping create them. Don’t forget to scroll the bottom to re create the look!
